We offer digital scanning of your photos, artwork, 35mm slides and negatives. Your images can be saved on a 3.5" floppy disk or burned to a CD-ROM. Depending on your requirements, images can be scanned as screen resolution (72dpi) .jpg files for fast, clear transfers via the internet. If you prefer, your scans can be uploaded directly to your email address on the world wide web as well. We also can scan at higher resolutions for desktop publishing and archiving. We currently offer up to 1200dpi for originals 8x10" or smaller. High resolution images must be burned to a CD-ROM due to their large storage size. All images can be saved in any standard image file format such as JPG, BMP, or TIF. Photos and artwork can be brought or mailed directly to us. While you wait scanning is available by appointment only and has a slightly higher fee. Standard turnaround for scans is 2 weekdays depending on the quantity. Quantity discount pricing is available. |

OCR Text Scanning |

OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition. Your pages containing typed or printed text can be scanned directly into a digital word processing format. Entire books can be scanned to a single Microsoft Word or WordPerfect file. Depending on the size of the files created, they can be saved on a 3.5" floppy disk or burned to a CD-ROM. If you prefer, your created files can be uploaded directly to your email address on the world wide web as well. This is a fantastic way to archive older but important forms, documents, manuals, or even entire books. Items for OCR Text Scanning can be mailed or brought directly to us. Complex items such as forms with different text styles and sizes on the same page are slightly higher due to the extra time needed to setup.
